The Company

The Company at Studio Seventeen is a competitive performance group that will travel to various competitions and conventions and perform locally for community events. The Company is made for our serious students that share a love for the performing arts and hope to develop their dance skills through different styles of dance.

The Company requires an audition for dancers who are age 6 and older for placement on the team. The Company will not formally hold auditions for Studio Seventeen’s 2017-2018 dance season. However, if your dancer is interested in joining this performance group, please let us know. There will be opportunities for interested dancers to attend conventions and competitions in this first dance season.

Dancers on The Company will be held to a higher standard. They will not be allowed to miss more than two classes/rehearsals and are expected to make up any missed classes. They should be dedicated and set a good example for other students during classes. Dancers should expect to have occasional weekend rehearsals added to their normal schedules for choreography or cleaning (especially near upcoming performances). Dancers and parents will be required to sign a company contract for each new dance season that will outline our policies and expectations.

To give you an idea of what these performance groups will entail we have listed the details for each below. Students must be minimum age by September 1st of the upcoming dance season.
